The Rogue

This 2000s version of Rogue is from X-men Evolution, which ran for a total of four seasons from 2000 to 2003, when I was ages 10-13! It left an impact, as did the classic X-men that ruled Saturday morning all through my earlier childhood in the 90s. Rogue was always my favorite rebellious, down-home goth-girl baddie turned underdog anti-hero and her style and attitude continues to impact me well into adulthood.

This piece was completed in 2012 with mixed medias on basic sketch paper. At the time, I was particularly fond of blending cross-hatching with ink pens with richly colored pencils and permanent markers. BUT, I honestly can't begin to tell you what other elements may be present in an analysis of the original composition! I was very experimental with makeup and other random mediums at that time.
