Orb Weaver, Archival Poster

A red-femured spotted orb weaver, or Neoscona Domiciliorum to be exact. I found one of these near the top of my garage one autumn evening and we were all so very stunned by its colors and size. This is based off of a photo we took of that very one. 

It is part of my Entomology series, which was completed in 2022. There are four beautiful insects that I chose to focus on and this red-legged beauty is the coolest of the group, unless you hate spiders... 

I used square canvases and a drip ink throughout the series.
